Moving back to KL in June to further my studies. Will be starting a new chapter in life (after the chapter of getting married and hving kids). Planning to get my own place in KL, but at the moment will stay with my parents so it'll be easier with the twins. It's not an easy task to take care of twins. Really admire those with more than 1 kid. They really sap all the energy out of u and each kid needs special attention and care with their own individual needs. The twins are turning out to be very smart now. Wish can spend more time with them at home and really understand them better. With work and career , it's so difficult to spend quality time with them. I don't plan to hv anymore kids as i feel that I cannot provide them with the best, why should i make them suffer in life? As of now, the world is a shitty place to live in. Pity the next generation and the future generations. So much pressure to perform, cost of living is so high, natural disasters every where. It's not easy to live the world to come. Even now, the mental stress is so great. Sigh....it's good being kids. Care free. Eat, Play, Sleep. I pray that they will hv wonderful lives when they grow. Mummy loves both of you.

My life is way to personal to share with everyone. Starting to hate facebook now. Only use it to post pictures and kay po on other friends' life. I really don't know what is right and what is wrong to post on facebook nowadays. Apparently some things are not meant to be shared. Then do u wonder that if you can share happy things, achievement in life,but it's a no-no to complain about ur life, talk bad about others, all the negative things basically. And what are u trying to achieve by complaining about ur day, ur partner, ur spouse? Sympathy from others? Gain popularity by getting more comments? Or just a place to 'shout' out? To me, most of the time it's a place for me to vent my frustrations in life. But i guess it's the wrong place. Nowadays, i will just post the comment to close friends only. On facebook, everyone who just know ur name will most likely add u. Note - i mention just know ur name and not know who u are. Had an issue with some acquaintances. To me friends are more than just a hi and bye person. Friends are people who care for u no matter where or when. Even though haven't seen or talked to them in years, but the friendship still remains compared to those people who just misuse your kindness and can't be bothered with ur life even though they're nearby. Seem to me and few of my friends hv started to blog again. Hehe..given me inspiration to update my blog as well.

Sorry for my long absence from this blog. Just that i haven't got the time to really write. I will be back. I'm sure all you guys wanna know about my married life. Sad to say...it's not much different as i'm stil in penang and he is in Taiping/Ipoh. The original plan was to get registered in feb 08 and then he transfer to penang. However he continued in taiping as surgical MO and we continued to be apart. So... i'm officially married but happy to be still 'single'. Transfer to perak is stil pending.. Need to pull extra big cables...

Today is my last day in O&G. It was an enjoyable posting. Like the hands on part,gossips, clinics, discharge summaries (the shorted discharge summary every) but too much politics, specialist, MO having different ways of doing things. Going to orthopedics next. Hv no idea about orthopedics. Totally forgot everything. Clueless.Not even sure where can detect fracture or not.

Perlis meets Penang

It was only last friday did i only begin to enjoy Penang island. It all started when a good fren of mine sms from Perlis saying that she'll be coming for a short trip and asked if i would mind sharing a room at Tanjung Bungah. Then she told me the itinerary of the trip. Eat, Party, Sleep, Eat, Eat, Eat.... No problem gal. Me sure will join the trip. I called up and and asked my fren to cover rounds for me on saturday.

I guess meeting fun crazy ppl really makes a different. I had an awesome weekend. Not mentioning meeting up with a fren i hvn't met for 6 yrs. We had some bonding time together ...keke.... Anyways...clubbing was fun. Food was scruptious. Bottomless chips and fruit juice. 1 bottle of whisky.. 'abalone' teh tarik/milo....Buffet breakfast, fish noodles...oh my.....more...more......dome's twister, coffee...Gurney Drive Lok Lok, wan tan me.....Food Heaven!!!

My visits to taiping are getting more and more boring. Worse when it rains. There's a new shopping center in Taiping called Taiping Sentral. Got a sushi king and starbucks. There's gonna be a 7 screen cinema, karaoke and snooker joint there later. Something to look forward to in the future.

Excited about choosing my wedding gown on the 7th and taking photos on 13. Besides that, joined a gym. Tricked into joining the gym by my friend. But it's also a good thing. Some activity rather that eating, sleeping. Now that my laptop is in service, got plenty of time to work out. Can't believe that i'm so unfit. Used to be a sportswoman... Time to get back to shape

My heartiest congratulations to my dear friend Li Ying working in Taiping at the moment. Wish u happiness in the future. I guess at around this age a lot of friends would be getting engaged and hving their wedding dinners. Not forgetting yours truly :)

I still have a lot of things to prepare for my wedding. Most importantly the guest list. If u guys are reading my blog, all of u guys are invited to my wedding on the 6th of Dec 08 (chinese dinner) and 7th Dec 08 (high tea). I hvn't got the invitations printed out yet. Will mail them a.s.a.p. I'll be taking my wedding photos at a new bridal house in penang. I really like their dress. Plan to take as many outdoor shots as possible. Penang is a nice place to take photos- can take photos at the beach, at the gardens, at old buildings.

Watched 4 movies this week. Wanted, Journey to the center of the earth, Dark Knight, Sex And the City. Too bad my HSBC buy one free one card has expired :( Can't treat my frenz to movies already. I liked SATC. Wonder what will happen in my marriage. Can't foresee the future. Hope everything will turn up ok. Will love each other indefinitely. Try not to get on each others nerves. Be forgiving and patient. Will marriage change one's character and affect the relationship? It's difficult to say as me and hubby staying apart. Not seeing each other everyday is stressful. But wonder what will it be like seeing each other everyday. Enough on talking about marriage and relationship. Me sounds so depressed. Need to go out drinking more often. Have fun while i'm still young.

Heading back to KL next week from 8-11 to attend a Malay fren's wedding. Wonder what to wear. Wanna get a really sexy kebaya..keke... Now there's sale every where...but hv to save money. Been spending a lot of food recently. Influenced by new O&G friends. And also spending quite abit on facial. Need to look good on wedding day... I do see improvement finally. Of course la...spent so much $$$

Birthdays are a good excuse to drink.
I remember my 21st b-day was at Zouk. The illegal age of drinking. Went with 13 friends and had a blast! Continued drinking at Vince's place till wee hours in the night and ended up K.O. at his place. Hmm...can't really remember what happened on my 22, 23 bday. If not mistaken i think 23rd bday was celebrated in Indulgence, Ipoh. My 24th bday was celebrated at Shangri La's restaurant. Must have good food for bday :)

Pre-bday was over the weekend with CH in taiping. Had secret recipe. Cake 1. Chocolate indulgence. Bday eve, had korean dinner with a fren. After that Cake 2 - Secret receipe chocolate banana cake. hehe...Later that night, went out with fren at G-spot, a bar at G-hotel. 'Cake 3' Flaming Lamborghini :) B-day night....Went to New World Park for dinner. There was a new fish spa opened, and guess what? They had free 30min for birthday guest. So guys, if ur b-day is in July grab this opportunity for a foot massage. Initially it was ticklish, but later it was quite fun. Later at night, went to QEII for drinks. Started off with just drinks, but we finished too fast. So ordered a bottle of bacardi. Then Cake no 4. Forgot to tell u guys cake = piece of cake :P

Btw, I 've just finished tagging in O&G. Passed the assessment and now just waiting to start calls. It has been so nice not to be on call. Almost been one month. Feel so relaxed since induksi. Although tagging is tiring, it sure beats being on call.

Happy 25th birthday to me!!! YEa.. survived living in this world for 25 years.

Got a new present today. Actually not really a present. Parkson had really good discount and so my hubby paid for the perfume i love. CD's j'adore. The smelly is so wonderful wished it could be an air freshener for my room.

13 days in a nice hotel

6 meals per day

6 am morning call... exercise at 630am (more like stretching)

3 x 2hr lectures per day (competition to see who can sleep without getting noticed)

5-6pm outdoor activity...saved by the rain for 1 day

Final exam. . . Study one day only!!!

Ended with a dinner with a talent show.

After one year of government service, government servants(GS) hv to go through this 'khusus induksi' for 2 weeks. Basically the lectures focus on the general rules and regulations of a GS e.g. the number of holidays we can take, the items we can claim for etc. Also about the monetary system for the kementerian, jabatan, how to purchase stuff... Useless lectures: nilai etika, motivasi, communication skills. Can u believe that the communication skills lecturer was so bad that half the class slept off. He's seriously not qualified to give that lecture.

Can u imagine having classes the whole day 830-1030, 11-1300, 1430-1530. Thankfully some of the lecturers were damn good and made the class enjoyable.

Evening sukan was basically juz football for 4 days!!! Our group was the winner of overall sports. And yours truly was the top scorer (i think). hehe... Had a really good football player in our team. He can play 'single foot-ly'. He laid up all the goals for me. I just had to kick the ball in the net. Sounds easy..but NoT....

Malam bakat was such a dread. Coz all of us came from different hospitals and all had different personality, it was a nightmare. In the end i couldn't care less, but lucky after some role changing, arguing, crying, pointing fingers and harsh words....we finally presented a decent show. For those going to induksi next time, have an idea of a malam bakat before hand so won't get headache on the day. And pray hard u hv creative group member that are cooperative and most important sporting. Don't have to be an actor/actress or dancer to put on a show. Just need commitment and teamwork. Most important: Listen to one another.

Can't believe it's already been a week plus from my nice holiday in phuket. Back to work the next day and had 4 EOD calls thanks to a fren. But my luck has been ok so far. I think I will miss surgical posting when i'm done.

Phuket was nice. Just that i think it's too tourisy. Patong is too commercial. The other quieter beaches like kata, karon beaches are clean and peaceful. Just that the weather was bad. In the morning it would be nice and sunny then in the afternoon it will suddenly rain till the night. Took a package trip to Phi Phi island. Phi Phi 'small' island is crazy man...It's the place where they flimed the movie 'The beach'. It is practically infected with ppl. Phi Phi 'big' is also very commercial. I wouldn't recommend taking a day package. Mayb free and easy and rent a boat so that u can hv ur own time at the island of choice. There was one place called monkey bay. I don't know what's the deal with monkeys. I guess white ppl don't see monkeys over their country. These monkeys are overfed with bananas, watermelons.... They were so so so fat. The last pit stop was called ' Khai island'. It was an island stranded in the middle of no where with lazy chairs and coconuts trees every where. . Just relaxing... Unfortunately, it rained after like 5 min on arrival :( Really need to get ur own transport in Phuket if want to enjoy the whole island. Tuk tuk and taxi are too expensive. Motorbike is the way to go. I wouldn't go back to phuket again if i had the chance. Best part....duty free alcohol!!! Long like heineken :)

Almost 7 months till the big day and i'm still not prepared. Choosing a bridal house is so difficult. Want the best and the cheapest. I guess there's no such thing in this world. I thought i found a good deal but then read about not so good reviews about that bridal house... sigh...now to start bridal house searching again. I guess u hv to pay for the quality. Nothing comes easy.

Wanna hear about work? It's getting more and more fun by the days. Surgery is cool. but it's a hectic life. Hv to be very dedicated.

Time to zZZzz...another 'periphery' day tomorrow, only 3 more days of freedom till being in hell again. It's so nice in periphery although sometimes a bit lonely and hv to meet dumb wanna-be-doctor nurses.

Received a sms early morning yesterday while was getting ready to go to work. A batchmate of mine passed away in a motor vehicle accident. It's was such sad news. Imagine a young promising doctor just about to start his career. Life just ended with a huge impact. Feel sad for his family. Hope his soul is at peace.

Can't believe got 4 days without going on call. So grateful. Able to go home and rest. Last week really felt like i was staying in the hospital.Was on call sun, mon, wed, fri. One thing good about it is that time just flies. It's a good thing cause this department is a messed up department. From the nurses, collegues, specialist... Only the patient is not at fault. Hate this department so much. Can't wait to finish in exactly 14 weeks. Probably will get gastritis from skipping too much dinner. The past wk hvn't been eating proper dinner. Every day we literally go round and round.

Got my wedding photos from chiang mai already. Reasonable. But want nicer backgrounds. Wanna take pix at the beach at sunset, with flowers, with an arch of trees, at the lake gardens at taiping.. Also want to tailor make an evening gown. Hehe..me so greedy.

Quarter life crisis

Finally get a breather after 5 days of 6am -12am work. What a relief. Starting calls tomorrow in a department where specialists hv different opinion and do rounds as early as 630am. Some ppl just hv no life. But i guess it's good in a way for patients coz surgical patients do deteriorate very fast.But just can't stand the rounds. Literally go round and round.sigh....another 15 weeks. Gonna start a count down. Like my fren says, it's not physically stress, it's mental stress.

life sucks at the moment... CH in taiping. Not many frenz in penang. working life stress. lonely. frustrated. basically need some motivation in life. need CH by my side. but he also so demotivated. We are going through 'quarter life crisis' (quote my fren TCY) Both unsure what we want in life. Is it ok to be just contented in life with the basic necessities or is it necessary to be ambitious and aim for the sky?

But not over the top excited k. There's so many things to prepare and so little time. Wish it was just a simple wedding by the beach. Shangri-la Penang is a nice place to get married i think. There's a nice platform and a nice aisle to walk down. But in-laws choose to have it in a chinese restaurant.

Talking a little about work... Going to finish medical posting. Feeling better about myself now. Able to intubate, resuscitate, do LP, PD, change femoral cath (hvn't done femoral cath successfully yet :( , insert long line. At least these 2 days have been very fullfiling. Next posting will be surgical posting. I quite like medical. but there's so much to learn and i'm so lazy :p

About life...not much life. Bored in penang. No family and min frenz. Good fren is my internet :) Can't wait to go back to KL this long CNY holiday. 'Combo' leave according to my collegue..keke... alittle cheating but ... just wack all only. If u don't understand email me ya.

Anyone got any part time job? since i can't do locum at the moment... Wasting my time sleeping. Supposed to be studying..but no mood. Post call will be flat out...the next day just wanna relax. Yesterday i came back home and comatose till the next morning without a bath or dinner. Amazing.

Planning to take leave end of the month or beginning of next mth. Plan to go for a short holiday. I'm starting to miss kl already. Can't wait to go home.

Irritating relatives

Sometimes i wonder why rich, educated people are so cocky, demanding and arrogant compared to the poor folks.

Senario 1. I encountered the family of this poor old bed ridden lady, being dumped at a nursing home. She was admitted due to renal failure, thus the family has to decide on dialysis. I had to call her family members, which I patiently explained her situation. Not long after i explained to one of them, 2 others called the hospital and ask to know about her condition. Again this morning another relative called the ward. Right after i put down the phone, the b**** that i explained the first day and ask me to explain AGAIN about the patient's condition. Hello? You think i hv nothing better to do... Spoilt my mood for the day. And they hv the nerve to say i'm just a houseman. Fuck them la. Anyway...pity the old lady who have children and grandchildren who are busy earning money and who dun care about her.

Senario 2. A fish monger with poor social background was humble and cooperative during the whole discussion of dialaysis. Took all the referral letters and went to search for social support at the necessary places. They thanked us for all the help we gave them during their stay.

Renal failure is one of the worst disease to get. If you can't afford dialysis, you're just waiting for D-day. And if get a fistula, not necessary it'll function. And if u hv a catheter, u'll get all sorts of infections, blocked lumen. It's a sad sad ward.

Thinking of pizza for dinner...keke..

Yesterday watched Enchanted with Chin. Very nice, romantic movie. :)

Really wanna complaint about the irreponsible ... MO. I mean he's supposed to be on call and yet he won't/refuses to answer his calls. What if it's really urgent. He'll be really deep shit. Had been trying to call the ........ for at least 1 hr. Lucikly the patient was stable, not bleeding from anywhere. Wonder what criteria they fullfill to become the ... MO. Damn pissed of with him.

Going to cardio next posting. Yea. Feeling happy to hv a change of environment. But a tad sad to leave my chronic patients. Gonna enjoy my last few days in nephro.

Today didn't feel like waking up. Reached work around 730am. Slightly late, but able to manage. Had a good call on saturday, but slept the whole day on sunday. Was too lazy to go out for dinner, ended up eating junk food at home. muahaha.....

Will try to find some activities to do in the wkdays. It's so weird. When i was in paediatrics i felt i was busier and had a lot of things to do.

Now to decided whether to join a gym or not? If i join....then at least they'll be some 'place' for me to past time....but then would hv to burn RM100+ a mth :( Think it's worth it? They hv sauna there...hehe...That's the part i like :) Still thinking about it......

Finally i'm on board.

Good call last night.only 4 admission. Slept about 5 .5 hrs straight. Even got time for afternoon siesta. Jealous :P Everything was calm and peaceful. MO was very nice. Patients relative was also nice. Bought me dinner :) It pays to be nice to others. I guess buying ice creams for patients makes me a nice doctor :) Learnt the trick from my specialist. Supposed to fatten up my patient who is bed bound. Lucky guy will get ice cream from me almost everyday....

Getting home sick recently. Don't like it when i've too much free time. Thinking of unnecessary things. Rather be occupied. Don't want to go shopping coz i know i'll be wasting a lot of money. Right now have to save for the future. Feel like applying for transfer either to Taiping or KL...but i wouldn't want to stay at home. At least now there's so much freedom, no one to nag me....Can do anything i want....But there's nothing much to do anyway.... Work, eat, sleep, work, work, work.... sleep.. Sien..... Routine life for the past 5 mths. Wonder what i'm doing in life. Not that interested in medicine already. No motivation to study.

The future is so uncertain. Not sure where will CH will be posted next. Feel lonely at times. Just let u guys know...Keep ur schedule free end of next year ;)
